James Barry Keefer mejor conocido como Keith, nació el Filadelfia Pennsylvania el 17 de mayo de 1949.

Solamente tuvo un éxito "98.6" lanzado por Mercury Records en el año 1967.  En Estados Unidos llegó a la posición #7 del Billboard Hot 100.  En Inglaterra llegó a la posición #24.
